Behind the scenes in Somaliland. I travelled to the region with a portable studio. Having seen the coverage of the drought in the months preceding the trip, I was keen to take a different approach. By pulling the focus away from suffering and removing the people I photographed from their immediate environments I hope to create empowering portraits that would bring attention to those living on the front lines of climate change.
