I've been trying so hard to get @purina to help us end declawing with some of the millions? they are making from it because most of the declawing vets recommend, sell, and use Yesterday's News cat litter for the cats that they just amputated their toe bones and claws. ?? Purina could simply just post a few facts about declawing and how it is bad for the health and well-being of a cat on their websites like catchow.com, where they have lots of info about cat related health issues and more. Or a disclaimer about declawing on the bag of Yesterday's News. ANYTHING!!! They could just show that they care about the welfare of cats instead of being silent and neutral and profiting from this cat cruelty each year.?? A couple days ago, once again, Purina sent me their canned response that made me even more disappointed in them. Here is what they said to me. "Thank you for contacting us and sharing your concern. Like you, we’re passionate about pets and only want the best for them. We recognize that this is a very emotional issue, and opinions and laws vary by city and country. At Purina, our focus is on supporting all cats with the nutrition and litter that the individual cat needs, as well as finding all cats a loving home. We defer to the cat’s owner and their trusted veterinarian to make any health decisions for their pet." ? Purina FYI, DECLAWING ISN'T A HEALTH DECISION AND DECLAWING VETS CAN'T BE TRUSTED! AND WHAT DO LAWS AND OPINIONS HAVE TO DO WITH WHAT WE ARE ASKING YOU TO DO?? DECLAWING ISN'T AN "EMOTIONAL ISSUE", IT IS INHUMANE CAT CRUELTY AND WRONG!
