Enjoying a quiet evening wind-down with my traveler’s notebook and reflecting on life lately in its glory, beauty and strangeness. Sometimes this modern world with all its social platforms feels so paradoxical. Instant connections and instant disconnections. A different kind of throwaway culture but with people instead of things. I’ve been on both sides of the coin with this one. So what is one to do? I’ll tell you what I plan on. Focusing on the delightful, choosing kindness and extending grace. Couldn’t we all use more of that? Oh and I’ll continue to chase wonder, seek goodness in life & in others, have fun in the process and make some wondrous wabi sabi from my mistakes and scrapes. Cynicism, that persnickety trickster and intelligently disguised gangrene, has no place here. I don’t want to just wait for a brilliant new year to begin. I want to close the year I’m currently blessed to walk in with as much beauty, color, gratitude, magic and hope that one can muster and more. ✨

Swipe left for a closer look in my TN. Going to the Traveler’s Company Caravan at the Ace Hotel really brought me back to when I first discovered the TN and the significance of that period of my life. It reminded me of that initial magic that I felt, a magic that I hope always remains.
