Frank Lloyd Wright’s Guggenheim building has long inspired designers and visual artists to reinterpret its distinctive shape. Our museum has been the subject of artworks, has had cameos on @The New Yorker covers—it was even reimagined as a tea set! The tea set beautifully evoked the museum's modern lines and architecture and was offered at the Guggenheim Store in the early 1990s, but was discontinued. The set is once again available thanks to our retail team who was able produce new molds for the set based on its original designs from our archives.
