With each passing day, @polarben's #TransAntarcticSolo becomes increasingly difficult, as Antarctica is anything but consistent. This week, he crossed through Sallee Snowfield & fought his way through ridges of snow known as sastrugi, all while battling the extreme cold. On the morning of November 21st, “the temperature plummeted & the clouds dropped, leaving me with only a few meters of visibility. There are few cues that tell me when it’s cold: my face ices from my breathing, my energy bars become rock hard & my hands become worryingly cold without mittens.” Currently, our weather app says -33 degrees celsius, but only Ben truly knows best.
