The meal consisted of 13 courses, and all of them contained meat or seafood. Protein consumption has increased rapidly in China due to higher income and more food options. This has turned the country into the world’s largest importer of food, to feed all of the pigs, chickens, ducks and cows. If the rest of the world consumes as much protein per person as we do in the United States, our planet will be in serious trouble.
