I started rapping when I was 13/14 because I didn’t really know how to write melodies. For me writing a poem over a beat was easier than writing a singing song. That’s how I started rapping. I started writing poetry when I was 7 same year I started hip-hop dance. I started choir when I was 11. I always loved performing in the talent shows and in competitions especially because my friends and I always won first place. Performing has always been my favorite thing to do. If I knew that people would fight me so hard on being a rapper maybe I wouldn’t have ever started with rapping and just sang instead. But I knew I would need help with songwriting in order to do singing songs and I wanted to write my own music that’s why I just rapped. Because it was easier. I’ve realized the easier thing isn’t always the best thing. That’s why I’m now working harder and taking more time writing singing songs. I first started working on singing songs with songwriters and through that process I realized I CAN write a singing song myself. I have a ton of new material where I’m singing a lot more, still rapping of course because I love rapping, but I think this new music I have coming out will surprise a lot of people and maybe even get the haters to become lovers lol. Regardless of what anyone thinks music is my passion, and even if I didn’t make a dime off it I would still make music. If I knew being on funny tv shows would make it extremely hard to be taken seriously as the artist I am I probably wouldn’t have done tv either. My goal wasn’t to be rich and famous for laughing or acting goofy, my goal was to become rich and famous for my music. I am still not rich, and still not even that famous hence not being able to get into a club WITH my friends lol. Buts it’s all good. I’m happy. I’m grateful for where I’m at. Everything does happen for a reason and I wouldn’t change a thing that has happened in my life. Everything that has happened has molded me into the much stronger woman I am today. Thank you to everyone who loves and supports my music. You guys make it possible to keep pushing forward with my dreams everyday and I am so grateful to have amazing fans like you??❤️
