In honor and memory of my mother who was the greatest wildlife activist of them all. ❤️ #Repost @lensculture ・・・ Help make a change! This week, Photographers Against Wildlife Crime, an international group of award-winning photographers, are taking over our feed to share their urgent work. The group has come together to use powerful and iconic images to help bring an end to the illegal wildlife trade. Never before has such an array of well-known, award-winning photographers and photojournalists come together to say a loud and clear “NO.” The illegal wildlife trade is the world's fourth biggest criminal activity after drug smuggling, the illegal firearms trade and human trafficking. The project hopes to draw attention to this deadly subject with a truly unique book, to be published in May 2018. The group aims to release an edition in both English and Mandarin for distribution in China—one of the key markets for wildlife trade. Please follow along and please consider helping them raise funds through their Kickstarter campaign. Although they reached their minimum goal, further funds will help ensure the book’s wide distribution in China as well as to English-speaking audiences: www.kickstarter.com/projects/1132820520/photographers-against-wildlife-crimetm --- Baby gorilla.
