Next on our New York tour was the amazing @alexandracliment. Alexandra has a truly fascinating story that starts with her in the construction industry of New York. She was so intrigued by the wood her company was using to build piers, that she volunteered to travel to Guyana in South America to gather more of it. The wood they were searching for was greenheart and her company was having a hard time locating enough of it to finish their job. Alexandra took on the challenge and ended up falling in love with what she found.
Not only did Alexandra fall in love with the wood she discovered but she fell for the adventure and South American culture as well. This love drove Alexandra into a new career path where should could create original pieces with wood she hand picked from South America. Today, Alexandra travels mostly to Panama to stock up on purpleheart for her projects.
