I was honored to sit on the board of @animalequality’s annual gala this year. This organization does so many amazing things for farm animals. They save animals from conditions most people don’t even know exist, it is a hell most humans could never comprehend. For your milk, eggs, cheese, steak, chicken nuggets, fish, these innocent animals are born into a life of torture. They are kept in filthy, cramped cages, they are beaten, cut, their bones are broken and that’s how they stay without help or compassion. Until they are loaded on trucks for days without food or water and then slaughtered, right in front of each other. Can you imagine this fear? This pain? Your entire life like this. Not because you did anything wrong. Not because you deserve it. But simply because someone wants to eat your flesh, drink your breast milk, or eat your shed uterine lining (eggs). Animals deserve better. We need to be better. Start today. Go vegan ?
