We had been searching for a new house for a long time. After looking at hundreds of houses, we decided to build one on a new lot near us. When we drove onto a potential lot, where there was no grass or flower, a HUGE monarch butterfly flew towards us and we thought it was going to land on the windshield. (As some of you know, butterflies have a special meaning to me) It flew away from the vehicle but it hung around us for a couple of minutes. I knew at that moment, this was the place for us.

I so wished Jazzy could have been with us in our new home. The thought of not being able to share the experience with her gives me a sinking feeling in my gut. Then the other day, I noticed something incredible on an old picture I took of Jazzy and Cooper by a secluded pond, almost two years ago. (It is our December picture on our calendar) The lot we are building our house happens to be in the photo, just above where Cooper’s head is. If it weren’t for the oddly shaped tree on the left, I would never have made the connection. Needless to say, I’ll be hanging this picture in our new home. ? The memory of Jazzy will be with us etched forever on my photos.
I took BB to the same place yesterday and snapped the second picture from the same spot. It was good to have her (and her butterfly ears) with me. #JazzyApproved #InMemoryofJazzy ???
