It’s been four years since the outbreak of civil war in South Sudan. At least one in two children in South Sudan is affected. Almost 3 million children are severely food insecure, more than 1 million are acutely malnourished, with more than a quarter of a million severely malnourished, while 2.4 million have been forced to flee their homes. Earlier this year, @philmoorephoto accompanied a UNICEF “Rapid Response Mission” to Aburoc, a village cut-off by fighting, where more than 17,000 people had gathered.
