Cycle with care - crabs crossing! ??? Right now, millions of red crabs are making their way back to the forests of @christmasisland after heading down to the beach to lay their eggs. This annual migration happens towards the end of each year, when the rains provide optimum conditions for the crabs' long journey to the ocean. It's estimated up to 50 million of these bright red critters live on #ChristmasIsland - we're talking carpets of crabs, everywhere you look. It's a spectacle that Sir David Attenborough described as "one of the greatest natural wonders on earth" - we couldn't agree more!
