Where I have been the most fortunate is that I have gotten to meet and have met a spectrum of interesting people. It is the best, if not the most valuable part of doing what I do in my life now. Experiences I’ve had in this world my family a thousand years before me could have never dreamed. I see a somewhat dark side of humanity dominate a good part of the human psyche today. My resistance to that has often times labeled me as sensitive, but that’s okay. I have not forgotten about that $300 car I drove with tires so bald if someone sneezed in the road I’d have to park it for fear of sliding to my death. I haven’t forgotten when I could only eat once a day at a friends house because his parents had “money”. I’m constantly reminding myself to use whatever platform we’ve built to not only show you interesting people but to give them a chance to be seen by you and hopefully inspire you to someday be at that same starting line, getting ready to run a major race. So... sentiment aside... I met this young man the other day, just through Instagram, saw his skating, and I thought maybe you’d want to see it too. His name is @shaysandiford. Wherever his life goes will be up to him. But I think it’s important to support people along the way. If you know anyone who needs the support or even if you do, never be afraid to use your voice. It’s how I was able to one day drive that piece of shit $300 car into the river and eat a hot meal that I bought for myself as I watched it sink. - sb #berrics
