It’s strange that this seemingly peaceful scene is so ecologically dangerous and politically charged. Fin fish aquaculture provides valuable employment to local community members here in #clayoquotsound. These farms also pose potentially devastating threats to the local biological communities, including our invaluable and beloved #wildsalmon populations. I’m wishing a happy holiday season to people on all sides of this challenging and complex issue. May we find the best path forward to an ecologically sustainable economy that leaves room for all community members, both human and otherwise, to thrive.
