"I know I've used my left picture time and time again, but I don't really have any other old pictures showing the back of my hair. And I didn't know I'd be starting an Instagram page then. Had I known, I would have taken more pictures. To those who are new to my page, that picture was taken in May '16 before my first Deva cut. I like to use this photo from time to time to show my progress. .

It has been 16 months since I began this journey. For those still in the transition phase, believe me when l I say that I know and understand exactly how you can feel so discouraged and defeated at times when you see all of these hair transformations or bomb curls and wonder if you'll ever get "there". But don't let that cause you to want to give up or throw in the towel. And don't ever compare the length of time it took someone else to get "there" either. .

No matter how you may be feeling or how your hair may be looking...keep pushing, keep trying and don't give up! You may think it's been an easy road for me, but honey let me tell you, there were many times I wanted to shout, "I'm D O N E!!!" Believe it or not, my hair experienced setback after setback; hygral fatigue and protein overload twice and color damage. .

If you stick with it, you will eventually see change. Depending on the amount of damage your hair has, it will take time for it to heal and recover. I'm proof that it CAN happen."
