Real talk. Yesterday I woke up & looked in the mirror like "Shit. I feel old as f*ck". Kind of had a mini breakdown. For 30 mins I let myself cry & then went about my day. 😩😂
I'm a full time mom. Early 30s but still, in my 30s. I work my ass off (not just modeling but partner in a few companies & side hustles) & have kiddo in tons of activities.
We see these luxurious lifestyles on social media & think "Hmmmm. I want that. I want to travel all over the world. I want L'Oréal to pay me / sponsor me a trillion dollars worth of makeup". All these things we want & wish for takes up a lot of energy & we forget to be thankful for everything we do have.
There are some weeks I have 0 gigs. Work is slow & I worry. Then with the blink of an eye I am slammed & feel like I'm going to lose my mind. That's life & the truth. It may look like people are "living the life" or have it easy but if we don't really know someone, we have no idea what they are going through.
My rent in LA went up this month & instead of taking on extra jobs / losing time with my son, I'm going to downgrade. I'm humble enough to know it's ok to take a few steps back in order to have the things you want in life later on. Do I think my 2 bedroom apt in LA is worth $2700 a month? Absolutely not.
No one wants to talk about the struggle or how they are getting by. Everyone wants to have this online persona of KILLING IT. #BigThings2018. Shut up. If you're saying it & never showing it then there is nothing going on but you want people to think there are. It's ok to have goals! A vision board. A journey to the end result.
When I travel, it's on my terms / using my bank account. Yes, I get hookups w/ companies in exchange for posting sometimes but there is no Bernard paying for it. I save my money & I look for DEALS.
I started my blog originally to share my frugal finds. Now it's so much more. I want a place where you can ask anything & I'll be there w/ an honest answer.
We are women & can be/ feel fucking crazy. That's ok cuz I'm right there with ya! We can do this & I'll help ya out along the way whether it's diet, frugal fashion finds or just random sh*t. Link in BIO ❤️
