Added some more check marks on our adventure list ?✔️ Sedona and Page, AZ were absolutely incredible! One thing that really struck me was to see how much of a destination Arizona is to other cultures! We met a lot of people from different states and countries who traveled a long way to see what was 2-4 hours away from us. A lot of people are eager to travel the world and experience incredible views and culture which is a great plan, but try to not overlook what is in your own backyard! I just had the funny thought while hiking cathedral rock in Sedona, “if the red Sedona landscape was in another country, some would find it more exotic and beautiful.” When in reality, it was a 2 hour drive and a $5 dollar parking fee to experience a spiritual breath taking nature hike. Why had it taken me so long to realize how much adventure was close by? I can’t take all the credit, having an adventurous boyfriend and partner in crime makes it a lot more fun! So find a good friend, sibling/family member, or significant other and keep each other motivated to experience what’s out there! Here’s a challenge for this week? ➡️ look up activities that are happening in your city, then in surrounding cities, then your whole state. If any of them seem interesting and exciting to you, find the time and make it a priority to go visit and experience it! It’s much easier to find excuses not to go, so flip your attitude and find excuses why you SHOULD go instead of staying at home. There are a lot of free activities and events, so no matter your financial situation you can still go on adventures!
