Today as part of National Mentoring Month, I am grateful for the late Dave Niehaus, the unmistakable voice of the Mariners for over 30 years and the man responsible for giving my nickname, AROD. He was so good to me since the day I first walked into Fenway Park, as an 18-year-old in 1994. Great voice and an even greater passion for the game.
