Fernando Ricksen did not play at the World Cup. But he represented @サッカー オランダ代表チーム 12 times in a career that saw him play for @azalkmaar @rangersfc & @zenit_spb.
In 2013, Ricksen revealed he was terminally ill and had been diagnosed with ALS (motor neurone disease). Yesterday @fortunasittard.nl where he started & ended his career, unveiled a statue to him, in an emotional ceremony. A fantastic gesture. Keep fighting Fernando.
