Where should you go in 2018? Chile’s Route of Parks. This year, @tompkins_conservation and the Chilean government struck a conservation accord, together donating a total of 11 million acres of Patagonian parkland to be preserved as 5 new and 3 extended national parks. The 1,500-mile adventure trail will connect a network of 17 national parks — from the Lake District to the Beagle Channel, winding through #Patagonia’s primordial forests, snow-capped volcanoes and wild coastline. @tomas.munita took this photo of a flooded forest in Alerce Andino National Park in December.
