My grandfather passed away. This is me standing on his shoulders. Reminds me of dancing around his kitchen to Frank Sinatra standing on his toes to learn the moves to fox trot as a kid. He was a rare and genuine optimist. He believed in people. Even though it was hard for him to talk or move in the last year of his life he still found ways to make other people laugh. He would write funny things on a small dry erase board my mother got him. His answer to almost every question about meaning and love and beauty was his late wife, my grandmother Blanche. He wrote her name on that white board a lot. I miss him.
