Galileo made revolutionary discoveries on the movement of the moon. In a timepiece dedicated to him, #Panerai added moon phase indication, a classic complication of high quality watchmaking which we’ve interpreted our own way. On the back of the new L’Astronomo’s P.2005/GLS movement is a day/night indicator which displays the
phases of the moon. The upper disc shows the sun during daytime and the stars of at night, and at the centre of the starry sky is a little round window showing moon phases based on the exact duration of one lunar cycle (29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 3 seconds on average). Link in Bio.
