this is a first for me, I flew to Siargao last Jan 14 to present the 7 awards that SIARGAO won during the MMFF 2017 to Gov. Sol Matugas and Cong. Bingo Matugas and to the people of Siargao, but then they surprised me with a Resolution No. 002 (Series of 2018) "Resolution commending Film Director Paul Soriano and artists Jericho Rosales, Erich Gonzales and Jasmine Curtis-Smith for their invaluable contribution in the promotion of Eco-Tourism in Siargao Island" What an honor and a blessing! I would like to thank the local Government of Siargao-Surigao for this recognition and the trust you gave my team and I to tell a story and make a film in Siargao. I made sure to also inform the audience of proper Eco-Tourism so that we can maintain and sustain the true beauty of Siargao. Do support groups like @s.e.a.movement so that you can help them continue to keep the island of Siargao beautiful and clean. A special thank you to Gov Sol Matugas for trusting me with her dream of making a film in Siargao so that her vision of Eco-Tourism will be seen all over Siargao-Surigao and of course to the whole country, I couldn't have done this film without your full support. Also to Cong. Bingo Matugas for his all out support!! and of course to ALL that helped make this film possible, THANK YOU!! I hope this film was able to showcase the beauty of the Siargao but more importantly spread the message to ALL that we must preserve and protect Siargao by taking great care of it.
