I was able to get up close and personal for a portrait of this small Siamese crocodile in Seim Reap Cambodia. The Siamese crocodile (Crocodylus siamensis) is a small to medium-sized freshwater #crocodile native to the region. Its other common names include Siamese freshwater #crocodile, Singapore small-grain, and soft-belly.

The species is critically endangered and has already vanished from many of its native areas, they are under threat from human disturbance and lose of habitat. #Extinct from 99% of its original range, the #crocodile is one of the least studied and most critically #endangered crocodilians in the world, with as few as 70,000 in the wild populations. #cambodia
