My idea for the piece is that to embrace the state of 'Work in Progress' as a person. To embrace yourself as a unfinished and incomplete version of what you think the society expect you to be. So I wanted the look of the poster to be visually 'Work in Progress', unfinished, incomplete, and awkward. And showing the process of me (the artist/designer himself) wondering and self-doubting in that process of designing this poster itself.
When we get older, some of us realize that we are forever in the process of growing and evolving, and always will be in the state of work in progress and we might possibly never feel complete or perfect, and we might eventually come to term with that or even realize that that's the beauty of it. But sometimes it's hard to see that and with enormous pressure we put on ourselves and because of the idea of perfect and complete version of ourselves (especially when we are young, though this is not necessarily just for young people), we are unhappy with those awkward stages of ourselves in the perpetual process of growing and becoming and be unhappy with our awkwardness because of it. And I want to encourage to embrace it and seize the awkward and incomplete version of yourself, and enjoy the process and awkward stages you go through in your life and the fact that nothing is or ever will be finished and completed. And things will always be beautifully awkward, and everybody else is feeling as awkward as you are.
