It’s also a perfect time to take a last (or long overdue) look at Bradley’s mid-career survey, which closes on the 28th: next Thursday, the Rose galleries will be open for extended hours up until the start of the lecture.

As Joe says about his practice (a teaser for more to come!): “It’s mysterious—a life in art. It’s a double life—or a decoy life, if you know what I mean. We can play out impulses in the studio that are considered unacceptable in ‘real’ life. There’s a great Flaubert quote: ‘Be regular and orderly in your life, so that you can be violent and original in your work.’ I think that is sound advice.”
