The Family Tree collection has always opened up new possibilities in the backcountry. Originally drawing its influence from some of our earliest powder boards, we’ve added new concepts that push length, shape and float – bringing freedom back to freeriding. Short swallowtail pow-floater? Yes. Camber, tapered and race-grade ready? Absolutely.

But those new possibilities we’ve mentioned, well, they’re not just for riding. This is the line-up that’s pushing the progression of our entire snowboard manufacturing operation. #BurtonFamilyTree is made with 100% FSC™-certified wood cores, an ultra-durable recycled sintered WFO base, and Super Sap®, a resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional epoxies. New this year is ReRez®, exclusive to our Vermont-Made boards (Cheetah, #SkipJack, Con Artist and the Working Stiff) which allows us to re-use the scraps from the manufacturing process in other products – meaning close to zero waste.

And for the boards like the Dump Truck and the #MysteryMalolo (plus some more) that are made in our Austrian factory – where all wood core scrapes are used to heat the building, where materials are sourced from within a 250-mile radius, and where the water that powers our board presses is recycled back through a closed loop process – riding one of these unique shapes means you’re also filling your quiver with a mindfully made product that will help to protect our playground for years to come.
