It’s true, I got opinions. But I don’t think I’m hard on directors. Not at all. I just understand, as I hope you do, that collaboration yields the richest result. You have a voice that deserves to be heard. You have the ability to change the atmosphere on set (or wherever you find yourself) and by that action, encourage others to bring their full creative powers to bear. This doesn’t mean you’re always right, but, thankfully, this same creative atmosphere is a safe place for experimentation and failure. Neither does it mean you will always be liked, but the same is true if you do nothing. So be brave. In this particular instance it helped to be backed up by the phenomenally intelligent and talented @caitlinbgerard (“The Secret Weapon”) and to be led by the open-minded, brilliant and patient @rodlurie.
