Today the Commonwealth Fashion Exchange was launched in the run up to the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting (CHOGM) - which is being held in the UK this April. #FashionExchange #CHOGM2018 @Commonwealth2018
Launched by the Commonwealth Secretary-General, Patricia Scotland QC The project aims to create partnerships between established & emerging designers & artisans from across the 52 member countries.
And on February 19th The Duchess of Cambridge and The Countess of Wessex will host a reception on behalf of The Queen during London Fashion Week.
The reception will bring together influential people from across the global fashion industry, including designers, manufacturers, textile producers, and craftspeople.
Also announced today, The Queen will host a reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the Commonwealth Diaspora Community, on February 14th.
The Queen has been Head of the Commonwealth throughout her 65 year reign and as Head, Her Majesty personally reinforces the links by which the Commonwealth joins people together from around the world.
