Formed over 1 million years ago, the Colônia basin in Sao Paulo, Brazil has accumulated sediment for hundreds of thousands of years, providing a unique opportunity to go back in time and explore the past climate changes in the Brazilian rainforest.
.
Moises Saman travelled to Brazil to explore how drilling in the area would, for the first time, help scientists understand how a tropical forest - in this case Brazil’s Atlantic Forest - has responded to major natural climate cycles. Link in bio.
