While I love our refuge at the secret cafe, my soul is really craving a walk through the woods. I miss talking with the river and listening to the whispers of wise trees. My bare feet want to feel the embrace of earth again. It just brings me back Home. Beyond the smoke and mirrors, arm pulling and nonstop sway of life held in a screen. It’s amazing how much pull the world within a phone can yank, not just with time but everything. It’s its own wild river - beautiful and riveting but sometimes the current is strong and it’s good to know when to be in it and when to just let it be.

Right now I’m in a space where I don’t want to be bogged down anywhere or with anything other than what feels right and congruent with my heart. It sounds poetic and simple enough but it feels more like guts and grit. Being soft hearted in it doesn’t mean that awkward spaces and disappointed expectations are bypassed. But there comes a time where one can no longer dishonor the heart for the sake of being agreeable. And there also comes a time where one can stop apologizing for that too. Why should we ever apologize for honoring the very yawp inside of our being? That’s where all the life springs up from. And that’s what I’m all for: Life in its flourish, in its living & breathing forms.
