Almost exactly a year ago to the day, the founder of FRUiTS magazine Shoichi Aoki announced the closure of the publication. He cited: 'There are no more cool kids to photograph'.⠀

The magazine was the leading authority on Harajuku fashion-documenting Japan's street style and defiant youth culture for the world to be inspired by.
