San Francisco-based designers #JonSueda (Stripe SF) and #ChrisHamamoto ‘s collaboration “Sound to Color” is inspired by sound-to-color synesthesia, a condition where sound evokes the experience of color. “By applying simple principles of chromatic contrast and color assimilation (used in many iconic works throughout the history of art, design, and science), we aim to create visual misperceptions of input and reaction scenarios. When viewing the image from different distances and perspectives, people may experience disorienting visual disturbance and vibrations both in physical and digital space.” #dolbyart
