The Taronga Wildlife Hospital has been rehabilitating some pretty special Green Turtles over the past 10 months, and they have now temporarily moved to Seal Cove in order to improve their swimming and diving ability. They will have the chance to swim further and deeper, and practice holding their breath to dive. This trial will show the Taronga Veterinary Team how strong they are and will assist in making a decision on when it will be safe to release the turtles back into the wild.
When they are released, they will have satellite trackers attached to their backs so we can study their behaviour and learn more about their needs and habitats.
