During the day in Yorkshire, The Duchess of Cornwall visited Brontë Parsonage to mark the bicentenary of Emily Brontë's birth and 90 years of the museum. HRH is passionate about promoting literacy as was able to meet local school children who took part in a creative writing competition organised by the Museum.
With the help of the a vintage bus, HRH then travelled to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway (KWVR) to celebrate 50 years since the line was re-opened.
The Duchess was introduced to the range of volunteers who keep the heritage railway running, before travelling on locomotive 'No.85', which was re-entered into service in 2017 after being restored by volunteers. ?PA
