'There were some impressive etchings in the show. I found myself drawn into the foreground of one depicting a garden scene. I love the close observation of debris. The careful and controlled depiction of mess presents an almost ridiculous oxymoron, which I like the play with. This came to the fore in this work: Only Then, We’ll Leave The Woods. Sometimes my foregrounds almost look like someone has been in and hoovered up in between the objects.’ - Olivia Kemp
