Happy podcast day everyone❤️ In today’s episode I talk about death. Death, fear of death, overcoming adversity, trauma, pain... All the truly hard stuff. I share what was the hardest year of my life with the passing of my best friend, my grandmother and my dog all within the course of five months, and how when it comes to trauma, healing is not a linear thing. It’s normal - necessary even - to shut down and shut off in the midst of loss; it’s how we survive. And somehow we move on and we get through it and inevitably, we’ll be presented with opportunities to return to the wound. I’m in it now. It’s been four years... But I couldn’t do it then. Doing it now is super hard because I’m in the midst of so much life and joy - but maybe that’s the only way. To have something truly beautiful to balance out the pain. .
