Meet Joy, who is not scared but apparently afflicted with invisible explosions like Gus. (Her eyes are always like that) I know her name because she was pretty much abandoned by her owner, and we are taking care of her now. Here's the story: in approximately October, her owner left her with her parents who live on my street. Joy escaped the house. Her owner put up fliers searching for her. She was skittish at the time, but I did see her once and spoke to the owner. Nobody came. Around Thanksgiving, Joy started coming to our house regularly. I spoke to the owner two more times. She obviously doesn't care. Joy is super sweet and deserves to have a home. She's very vocal and has recently allowed me to pick her up. She doesn't cause any trouble at all with our outdoor cat, who screams at her often. She keeps her head down and avoids conflict. She is also the sloppiest eater I've ever encountered, but I'll buy you a food mat if you take her in. I'd love to be able to get her a home. If you're interested, please let me know. I am willing to drive anywhere in northern California or Nevada to get her a home.
