Yesterday marked a personal and professional highlight for me. I have continued to say “yes” even when things are outside my comfort zone and I have learned that it always pays off. Even though I have been on camera for over 15 years, public speaking has always intimidated me. A lens is different than actual faces! But I said ‘Yes!’ immediately when asked to conduct a a 30 min high-level interview with UBER at a Conference. After two days of preparing, I had a hard time keeping my interview to the allotted time because I was having so much fun once I got started! AND I ended up being part of Uber’s new announcement right there on stage! After it was over, a few C-Level female execs of major companies sought me out to chat and compliment my panel. The gratitude and emotion I feel today is beyond words. If you don’t jump, you can never fly. Did I make that up? Probably not, but I’m going to continue to fly ✨?
