I’ve never posted about this before, but 6 years ago I was fairly underweight. It all started when my dermatologist suggested I start a new diet because I was having some really bad face breakouts. She told me to cut out all sugar and gluten from my diet, and ultimately meats ? fish? and dairy ? Most people with such a lackluster diet wouldn’t last very long - but I’ve always had a determined spirit. When I set out to do something, I’m in it 100%. So I viewed this diet as both an opportunity to restore my skin and a challenge/test of my self-control and endurance... but I didn’t do it right. It was so difficult to find things I liked eating - mostly because I was on sets working all day. My lunches would be a plate of raw kale or some broccoli ? Not very appetizing. ⚠️This is not to say a healthy vegan diet isn’t doable - I just got lazy and wouldn’t eat much cause it wasn’t available to me. My weight dropped ...a lot ? and I felt tired all the time. It took me a year before I decided to do something about it. I started by incorporating fish and exercising more. I started training and rediscovered my passion for being active (I used to be a competitive swimmer ? - state champion). I’m now eating all sorts of clean and delicious foods, train 5x a week, and weigh in at a healthy 176lbs - I’m 6’ 1”. I encourage you to experiment with your body to see how you react to different diets. Just remember when something’s not working for you, pivot and try something new ??
