FUCK YOU PART 2:
When i got dropped and they told me i should stop trying to be an “artist” (like that’s something you can just do...pffffft), i started an underground electro band that made the kind of music that no one was doing yet and toured the fuck out of the US and Europe with NO LABEL broke af living out of a studio with cockroaches and no shower but it didn’t stop me from going for my dream ?? When publishers wouldn’t even call me back for years or even take a meeting with me, and i heard NO more times than i can even count, i kept writing my tits off and ended up writing a DIAMOND CERTIFIED MULTI PLATINUM HIT SONG CALLED DARK HORSE THAT SOLD OVER 13 MILLION UNITS and is one of the biggest radio songs of ALL TIME ?? And the list goes on and on...and my point isn’t to be blowing smoke up my own ass...the point is that i have to remind myself every day to say FUCK YOU to the “norms” and FUCK YOU to the people that tell you you can’t do it and FUCK YOU to the media that’s brainwashing us with fear and self doubt and FUCK YOU to the small minds that judge or shame you just because they can’t see past their own conditioning. It all comes down to this....we are here in this lifetime...ONCE....DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO IN YOUR HEART OF HEARTS. Nobody has the answer but YOU and when someone or something tries to tell you you are wrong for going after your dreams and your vision, or standing up for yourself or being different than everybody else...you turn around and you say FUCK YOU just watch me...maybe not out loud but you know what i mean ?...IT’S ABOUT THE MENTALITY NOT THE LITERAL WORDS!
At the end of the day, the opposition and hate you get from others or society is just fear, so yes we need to love the “haters” and “naysayers” back and help them see that they are just afraid of their own power...so be the example, inspire them and yourself and go against the grain! Teach them how to say FUCK YOU too!
