We often forget about the small things. So typical to hear yet so true. Whenever I look back and think of when I’ve felt the most alive, it’s all about them. Nobody can take those away from you. I was sitting on this rock looking out and breathing in, and that was it. But I didn’t want to leave. It was the one time I could feel freedom through my veins and a deep gratitude for simply being alive looking at this, and realizing our world is the violence, the injustice, the destruction, the catastrophe, but it’s also this. We are all of that but, in essence, we are this. Escape the noise once in a while, and don’t forget the small things.
Solemos olvidarnos de las pequeñas cosas. Tan típico pero tan cierto. Si miro atrás y pienso en cuándo me he sentido más viva, pienso en pequeñas cosas. Nadie puede arrebatarte eso. Estaba sentada en esta roca, mirando lo que tenía en frente y respirando, nada más. Pero no me quería ir. Allí sentí libertad y una profunda gratitud por simplemente estar viva contemplando. El mundo es la violencia, la injusticia, la destrucción y la catástrofe, pero también es esto. Somos todo eso pero, en esencia, somos esto. Escapa del ruido de vez en cuando, y no olvides las cosas pequeñas.
