The Ojoba Women’s Cooperative: Shea Butter. Following our recent work in Ghana, we also visited the women in Northern Ghana. Johan and Tracy founded the Ojoba Women’s Collective and taught the women of Ghana appropriate farming methods, without the use of harmful chemicals. It’s important to note these techniques aren’t imported from the West, these are African techniques. Learn about the Shea butter beans with Susanna from the Ojoba Women’s Collective and the methods they use to fell, heat and extract the butters that go into our Shea butter products.
