Backcombing is an extremely useful technique when it comes to color corrections & lightening around fragile hair. ? It not only creates diffusion, it also pushes away the shorter, broken hairs. You can see in the video how the previous overprocessed highlights are literally pushed away and the stronger hairs are left behind to be lightened. ? ・
I used @paulmitchellus Synchrolift 15 volume with @Olaplex, leaving the ends out. Before I rinsed off the lightener, I briefly pulled it through the ends to gently brighten them. ? I pretoned with #TheDemi 9BV with a capful of 9V to neutralize some of the warmth and have a more balanced canvas. Then I toned with @Joico G9 + B9 and boom ? golden goddess.?
