Adam's Peak emerges from morning mists, photographed from a helicopter above the 7,400 foot summit. Sri Lankas’s landmark mountain has been mentioned by every explorer from Marco Polo to Ibn Battuta to Zheng He. 3 religions worship the foot shaped rock formation at the top. In Buddhist tradition, it is the foot print of Buddha; for Hindu’s it is that of Shiva; in Christian tradition, that of Adam.
