Six years ago, New Zealand singer-songwriter Kimbra broke onto the U.S. airwaves in a major way thanks to a featured verse on Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know.” Now, she’s gearing up to release her most personal and profound album to date, Primal Heart. “[This album] is about the journey and evolution of the human species. For better or for worse, we must collectively come together to be better and to end the cycles of history.
