World renowned physicist, Professor Stephen Hawking has passed away, aged 76.

The British scientist, who was famed for his work with black holes and relativity, also wrote several popular science books including best-seller 'A Brief History of Time', making his work accessible to the general public.

Magnum photographer Ian Berry photographed Hawking on several occasions during the 1970s and 1980s, both at home and working at Cambridge University.
