Opening tomorrow @vitradesignmuseum is Night Fever: Designing Club Culture 1960-Today a fascinating, fun and neon-hued nostalgic look back at the seminal clubs of each decade since the birth of club culture in the psychedelic Sixties. Posters, flyers, design magazine articles, photography, furniture, technology, films, album covers and clothing are all on display in four rooms named after songs. The highlight being - Can You Feel It - a disco-inspired installation by Konstantin Grcic and lighting designer Matthias Singer, equipped with headphones where you can get lost in music, plugging into four different playlists (pre-disco, disco, house & techno) which are so good we wanted a download. For anyone who’s ever tripped the light fantastic, blamed it on the boogie or had a DJ save their life, this one’s for you.
