#MarchForOurLivesLA. It’s heartening to see this much action and mobilization around an issue that many groups have been fighting to raise awareness on for years. As my friend @kendrick38’s poster read: “Gun violence and police violence are not separate conversations.” Too many people— in every community— have been touched by one or the other, or both. I believe a change is coming, beginning with the agreement that we must protect each other, starting with the most vulnerable among us, which includes children as well as people of color living in over-policed communities.
